A&E Audiology Reviews

After attending Thursday’s seminar, I’m more convinced than ever that hearing loss of any kind is a major contributor to dementia. Dr. Darrow is a NeuroScientist who has extensively studied the connection between the two. If there is ANY form of available treatment for Tinnitus/and or hearing loss, it’s worth having comprehensive testing to determine the exact nature & degree, & seriously take a look at newer treatment options. New technology is emerging in this field as well as Neuro research – a missing component until the past few years. Independent studies have confirmed it’s the #1 leading cause of dementia. I have had tinnitus since 1981, so I understand the aggravation, constant distraction & difficulty it makes in my quality of life. However, with known 40% underlying hearing loss, I’m hopeful for a positive result through testing & treatment. I’m more fearful of NOT doing something, with a history of Alz on both sides of the family.

Our experience with A&E Audiology and Hearing Aid Center could not have been better. My mom put off getting help with her hearing for a long time. She had heard horror stories from people who had bad experiences at other hearing aid centers. So, she was very intimidated and apprehensive. A & E is a very well run office. From the reminder calls about the appointment to check out and everything in between was top notch. Dr. Seevers took the time to explain how the aids will work, and took the time to give me the best fit ever.
