Don’t Let Sound Sensitivity Limit Your Daily Activities
Soft sound sensitivity syndrome, more commonly known as Misophonia, causes individuals to have strong reactions to some sounds. Reactions can range from discomfort to anger or even rage and are a response to repetitive, often soft, or subtle noises. Some of the most common trigger sounds include chewing, sniffing, or tapping.
If you believe you have Misophonia, you are not alone. According to Neuroscience News, nearly 1 in 5 adults live with this syndrome. At A&E Audiology & Hearing Aid Centers, we help those living with Misophonia find relief. Our hearing treatment center in Lancaster is the primary location for Misophonia treatments, although we also offer treatments at our centers in Lititz, Willow Street, and Stevens, PA.
