Meet The Managers of A&E Audiology & Hearing Aid Center in Willow Street, PA, Lititz, PA & Lancaster, PA
Eric Elliot is the Managing Director here at A&E Audiology. Eric has held this title since August of 2013, but has been assisting with different positions since 2000! A native of Lancaster, he is the son of the practice owner, Dr. Kamal Elliot, Au.D. Eric has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration degree from American University in Washington, DC. He enjoys volunteering as an interdisciplinary teacher at an academic summer camp, and has many talents including his abilities to play the piano and guitar, speak German, and he even has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do! When asked what his favorite part of working at A&E Audiology is, he stated that he “loves being a part of a team that makes such a big difference in people’s lives.”
Jodi Highfield has been with A&E Audiology for nine years. Holding positions such as front office personnel, and Office Manager, Jodi is now the Practice Manager of A&E Audiology. Her favorite part of the job is having the chance to work and interact with all kinds of people. Originally from Sterling, Illinois, Jodi moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to family. She enjoys spending time with Bill, her husband of 29 years, her 3 children, and 4 grandchildren. On addition to her job at A&E, Jodi is treasurer for the Lancaster Practice Managers Association (LPMA).
Samara Elliot is our Marketing Manager here at A&E Audiology. She has been with the company for over six years. Samara’s favorite part of working at A&E is the chance to be artistic, having the chance to help people, working with her family and that “everyone at A&E is like one giant family.” As a native of Lancaster, Samara is the daughter in-law of Dr. Kamal Elliot Au.D., and now lives in Virginia with her husband Andrew Elliot along with their two lovely cats Rampage and Steviee. She received her Graphic Design Associate of Science Degree from The Art Institute of York in 2006. In her spare time, Samara enjoys cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, listening to music, painting and spending time with family and friends .When asked what her favorite part of working at A&E Audiology is, she stated “I loves helping people connect with others. Hearing is such an important part of people lives. I like to treat all of our patients and the A&E team as if they were my own family!”
Janie Hess is our Accounts Manager. She has been with the company for seven years, and first started as a front office personnel. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and has been working within the healthcare system since then. Some of Janie’s hobbies include reading, going to the mountains or the beach, playing in a summer golf league and skiing with her family! Janie and her husband have two children who are both in college. When asked what her favorite part of working at A&E she stated, “The people who work at A&E. Everyone seems to be in a position where they can excel and it’s so much fun to watch them shine. They are so talented and good with patients. There is so much positive energy that it is just a great bunch of people to work with every day. My mom and my father-in-law are both patients at A&E, not only because I work here, but because I want them to get the best care for their hearing needs. And I know all about the great care you get at A&E from personal experience, because I wear hearing instruments too!”
Practice Relationship Manager
Jim Spotts has been with A&E Audiology for just over a year. He holds the position of Practice Relationship Manager, calling on physician offices, retirement communities, and nursing homes. Jim speaks with doctors, nurses, administrators, and patients about the effects of untreated hearing loss. His background in the pharmaceutical industry make him a great fit to help to educate medical providers and the public about the importance of healthy hearing. Jim graduated from Millersville University, but was born, raised, and currently resides in Schuylkill County, Pa. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 20 years and his two teenage daughters – the eldest in college, the other a junior in high school. “I have a true passion for helping people, and have developed a love of ensuring those with hearing loss do not miss moments in their life. I feel blessed to be a part of the A&E Family.”
