Dr. Leeann Koch recently joined our team of audiologists, and we would love for you to get to know her better.
As a team, we strive to be more than career-focused. We strive to serve our patients to the best of our abilities. Tweet This
Next time you’re in the office for an appointment, say hello to Dr. Koch and welcome her! Here are eight interesting facts and tidbits about our newest team member:
Dr. Koch: I wanted to be a veterinarian, until I realized I wouldn’t be able to save all the animals I saw that were sick.
Dr. Koch: I did both my undergraduate and graduate studies at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Koch: I originally started out with the intent to become a Speech Language Pathologist. After working in the field of Speech Pathology, I quickly discovered that it was not the career for me. Growing up in a household with two parents with hearing loss, I have the experience of what everyday life is like for those with hearing loss. I felt I could make a difference in those people who are affected by hearing loss’ life. I decided to return to graduate school for Audiology, which has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life.
Dr. Koch: I really don’t do anything that would be considered a hobby per say, but I love getting to spend time with my family doing things like mini golf, fishing, being lazy, etc. I also spend a lot of time playing with and snuggling with my Siberian Husky, Freya.
Dr. Koch: Hands down, I would choose Lucille Ball. Since I was in Kindergarten, I have been fascinated and in love with Lucille Ball. I collect anything and everything Lucy. Much like her, I have a gift for making people smile and laugh.
Dr. Koch: This is a difficult question because traveling is one of the things the drives my heart.
I believe the best way to understand and grow to love those different from you is to experience their culture and traditions. Tweet This
I would love to see any place in the world, equally. However, if I had to pick a place that would speak the most to me, it would be Germany, since I am 100% German in ancestry.
Dr. Koch: Fun-loving, compassionate, supportive.
Dr. Koch: Since day one of my internship at A&E over a year ago, the family atmosphere was always evident. Everyone has different responsibilities and talents; however, we all work towards the same goal, to help all of our patients to receive the best possible hearing health care!
